We Are America!, by Michael Konkel
While my hometown newsrags, the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette and the Fort Wayne News Sentinel continues their heinous diatribe of all things liberal and progressive, day in and day out, it had me wondering if the truth was every going to be able to shine through to my fellow citizens here in Indiana. Last election, Indiana turned into a blue state. I was crushed....not because Indiana voted in the majority for a black man because I would love to have been part of the history that would bring the presidency to a person of color. If there had been a decent person of color running for president, I would have been part of that history. Trouble is in Indiana, particularly in the cities, people are getting fed a steady stream of liberal garbage, are content and set in their ways, and fail to venture beyond the main stream media to get an idea about what is really going on in the country and the world.
Even today, I have a number of acquaintances who biggest goal in life is to improve their golf handicap. Many believe that tolerance about everything, not making waves, is the way to 'love thy neighbor'. In my own family, I have a sister who had a son, my namesake and nephew, Michael, who died of HIV/Aids which he acquired as an active homosexual man. Just today, after we exchanged e-mails regarding that froot loop Bill Maher, who she thinks is funny, whom I know to be a gay man with a hateful personality, and I said so....she commented, Oh so you think Michael is in hell.
If Michael gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ, repented of his sins before he died then I believe he is with Jesus Christ today and I told her this. And maybe Michael did this...I don't know, we did not live near each other. But this is the way we are....maybe your sister is a lesbian or your girlfriend has had abortions, because we love those people, we do not regard the truth of God's word but rather take the side of these sinners. This we do to our detriment. There are scriptural/biblical truths. God is known as the Alpha and the Omega, the one who sees the beginning from the end and vice versa and He has absolutely no reason to change His mind nor His word which are provided by the 66 books of our bible. These books and their authors were inspired by God's Holy Spirit to write the words therein...these words will not change and God's word will never return void. Of everyone anywhere, God is the only entity who says what He means and means what He says, all the time.
Today I tell you that I agree with Christine O'Donnell that WE ARE AMERICA! Our danger is found in the words even our founders have provided for us to consider. John Adams tells us that "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Benjamin Franklin adds "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters".
Daniel Webster speaks quite frankly on the subject when he tells us "....I am committed against every thing which in my judgment, may weaken, endanger, or destroy (the constitution)....and especially against all extension of Executive power; and I am committed against any attempt to rule the free people of this country by the power and the patronage of the government itself....".
We are at that crossroads America. In just 6 weeks from now we will vote and we must vote in numbers and we must vote with diligence and be vigilant to all the shenanigans of those who will certainly not play by the rules of our free society. If we are not diligent and vigilant then heaven help us as Samuel Adams puts it: "The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy the gift of heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it. While, on the other hand, if we are universally vicious and debauched in our manners, though the form of our Constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves."
Abject slaves....this is what President Obama has in mind for us as he continues his drive to destroy our Constitution, our Republic, our way of life and our livlihoods. Do not be fooled by Obama finally stepping foot in some church this past weekend....his advisors have told him that political symbolism is necessary now more than ever. See instead, the fruit that he bears, and of course, you will know what kind of tree he truly is.
We are a nation of sinners and yet we all know that while we are in that condition that Christ laid down his life for each of us. People can turn from their sin and repent and a nation can do likewise. I particularly wish to call on my fellow Christians (captial "C" Christians), not those in name only, to take God at his word as found in II Chronicles 7:14..."If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Like I said, God's word does not return void.
Finally, regarding Christine O'Donnell, and I admittedly stole this from Glenn Beck when he asked is she a good witch or a bad witch fully aware that Chris Coons, her opponent is an avowed Marxist and there are only bad Marxists....no good ones. I intend to pray for her to find the light that is Jesus Christ and know that there is meaning in likeminded people doing the same thing. I would pray for her as quickly as I would pray for that generation alive today who seems to worship all things having to do with 'vampires' and other forms of Satanic worship as well.
WE THE PEOPLE, us Tea Party folks, are now supposed to be on the defensive from the Obama administration....I say, bring it on Prez....truth is on our side. I read the back of the book and I know how this is going to end....we win!

University of Kentucky: No Holocaust
This week the University of Kentucky removed The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it "offended" the Muslim population, which claims it never occurred. This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it. It is now more than 60 years since the Second World War in Europe ended.
This is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way!
Now more than ever, with Iran among others claiming the Holocaust to be "a myth," it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

The UK invoking PC as the reason for placating complaints from this politically active Islamic group can annul the truth, silencing history, muzzling the cries of the innocents down through the centuries. Count on it, one day they will say the same thing about Sept. 11, 2001.
I know it's a lot to ask for in these tough times, but I'd like to see either a lot of letters from parents of students about the altered curriculum, or a lot of students voting with their feet in the cause of freedom and liberty, for ultimately, that is what it is about. UK is only doing it because they can, and feel no sense of responsibility to their students.

Should We All Burn Qur'ans?
In America, we have every right to burn as many Qur'ans as we own. Should we? My suggestion to the good Reverend who wishes to burn Qur'ans is that he who is without sin throw the first match.
As Americans we have a huge area of ignorance about Islam and those who take Islam by faith as their religion. We need to know more. For example: While most of what the majority of people know about the Qur'an has to do with violent attacks on non-Muslims, later writings tell Muslims to live in peace with those who will live in peace with them. Which is why you have such a dichotomy in Islam, those who follow the original, violent writings, and those who decry violence and wish to follow their god by living in peace.
Here's the thing, if they will live in peace, the Constitution of the United States of America protects their right to worship in error. That's what religious freedom is all about. Changing their hearts is the work of the Holy Spirit.
Are there those who wish to abide by U.S. law and live peaceably in America? Yes, many, most, in the U.S. do. I count among my close friends a number of United States Marines, who have put their own lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan, who are also Muslims. They served this nation in uniform, took an oath to defend it. I do not agree with Islam, but I respect even those whom I believe worship in error, who are willing to defend this nation and the Constitution of the United States. They, just like everyone else in the world, are free to reject the free gift of salvation though Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean I will hate them and not love them.
But Islam is a house divided, That division starts between Sunnis and Shiites. There are extra-Qur'an writings called the Hadithas. Trouble is, the Sunnis and Shiites claim different texts! Good information on all this can be found athttp://hnn.us/articles/934.html.
For a general understanding, Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda are Sunni. The Shiites tend to be more cerebral and concentrate on their religion, as opposed to building up of the political arms of Islam through force and terror. Good luck with studying all the Hadithas; even the Imams do not agree on their meanings.
BTW, one of the aspects of Islam which we in the west have difficulty with is duality. To us, if the Qu'ran and the Hadithas give conflicting orders, we might choose the most recent writings as superior. (Most often more recent writings suggest peace, not war and violence.) However, to those in Islam, they accept both writings, even when they seem to conflict, and use current context as the deciding element. There is one real problem with burning the Qur'an, and that is that, even though we believe it to be a book of error, to millions of people it is sacred, and it is mighty difficult to discuss the love of Christ with people when you are burning a book they revere , even if in error.
So I repeat, let him who is without sin throw the first match.

Post-Restore Honor Rally, What Now?
There seems to be a great deal of fumbling among the American news media concerning what follows the "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington, D.C., this past weekend. If only they knew about Christians for Restoring America's Greatness right here on Facebook.
From Washington, D.C., President Barack Obama told NBC News he didn't watch the rally.
Also in Washington, D.C., AP's Philip Elliot wrote, "If Democrats had doubts about the voter unrest that threatens to rob them of their majority in Congress, they needed only look from the Capitol this weekend to the opposite end of the National Mall."
On the Takeaway, a national morning news program produced in partnership with The New York Times, the BBC World Service, WNYC, Public Radio International and WGBH Boston, the question was asked, "What Was The "Restoring Honor" Rally All About?" Was it to show support for the U.S. military, does it mean the Tea Party is taking a religious turn; what does it mean for U.S. politics, and "is this the start of a new religious movement?"
Unbelievable.
But why should we be surprised when the news media in New York City, with the facts about Islam at its fingertips, still insists on being PC about encroaching Sharia Law, why should we be surprised they are blind to the demands of the American public for more ethical, moral, common sense behavior by our legislators to bring honor back to the halls of the government?
Even though the estimated half a million in attendance heard Glen Beck, Sarah Palin and Dr. Alveda King -- the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. -- invoke Dr. King's speech and memory, while calling on God and American values to lead the way in their movement, still the media was compelled to publicize quotes from the NAACP and others saying that " Beck and like-minded conservative groups have co-opted the civil rights movement and King's memory."
It's been said, and is never more true than in this instance, that the news media's entire approach to news broadcasting is "let's you and him fight", otherwise without conflict there is no story, in their opinion.
Now, first I must say it just seems incredible that, to those on the left, conservatives are now the only ones who still believe in Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech about a color-blind society. Those of us dedicated to restoring honor and greatness to America know that a person should be judged on the content of their character, not by the color of their skin. All the conservatives I know are more concerned with what is right and what is wrong with America, with power being returned to the rugged individualism that made America great, with We the People and the states we live in making decisions about the important aspects of our lives. If anything, conservatives want less power concentrated in the hands of government, while those on the left, those of a progressive frame of mind, want more. And the latter is much more to be concerned about; to be feared.
Organizer Glen Beck himself billed the rally as a “nonpolitical” celebration of the military, patriotism and American heritage. And there was plenty of talk from the speakers regarding limits on government spending, taxes and debt. Beck did add in a Fox-TV interview, “There’s nothing we can do that will solve the problems that we have and keep the peace unless we solve it through God,”
So what is the mandate now for those dedicated to restoring honor, restoring greatness to America? Glen Beck and Sarah Palin both urged the crowd of fans and activists to embrace religion and the nation’s traditional values, while supporting the restoration of the constitutional foundation of the country.
There is a "Restoring Honor" Facebook page, but it is mainly filled with post-rally comments and photos.
One of the quotes many of the news media picked up on was Glen Beck's "One man can change the world." He told the crowd, "That man or woman is you. You make the difference." The news media took that as code to change the political party in power, but it can also be interpreted to change the individuals in power; to elect new blood, to put into office those individuals dedicated to fiscal responsibility, who also understand that We the People demand ethics and morals once more be the high water mark for politicians who represent us.
Empowering Christian pastors and other church leaders, those men and women who understand the absolute necessity of ethics and morals in everyday life, as well as in our legislatures, Christians for Restoring America's Greatness intends to provide the tools and resources for cleaning House and Senate in the November 2 election, the first step in putting America's greatness back among her historic trophies.
The entire world needs America to be great once again. Whenever famine, disease, disasters cripple the nations of the world, it is always America that comes to their aid. When a moral tone is needed in the world councils, America has always taken the high ground, helping to solve problems whether the solution required medicines, funding, organizational expertise, or military might, the United States of America was always there.
Now, however, under current government leadership, the United States of America is being driven over a socialist cliff. At a time when jobs are desperately needed, this administration has concentrated on a health care program that will only raise costs and limit the quality of care. Does not help the job market. At a time when small businesses are being driven out of business by rising costs and a frozen loan market, this administration has spent trillions of dollars disrupting the free market system by taking over educational loan programs, banks, auto industries. Instead of seeking passage of million dollar programs through the people's Congress, this President has repeatedly used his executive decision signature to sign away money to causes outside the United States when our own citizens are suffering. No jobs there.
At a time when jobs are at a premium, this administration has not only refused to stop the onslaught of illegal aliens crossing our southern border and taking jobs at wages lower than the American family can live on, but they have actually gone to court to cripple laws passed in Arizona, consistent with federal laws, aimed at protecting that state's citizens from murder, attack, robbery and rape by illegal aliens.
And still there is more.
But what can be done?
Consistent with the intent of the speakers at the Restoring Honor Rally, we can join together with Christians for Restoring America's Greatness, working through out local political organizations and individual churches to separate good candidates from bad, to support the return of ethics and morals to legislative processes, to hold politician's feet to the fire to make decisions that benefit We the People, and not their political party, or their particular industry of financial backers.
Glen Beck was absolutely correct when he said, "One man can change the world. That man or woman is you. You make the difference." Christians for Restoring America's Greatness intends to provide those tools; a viable combination of Christian activism and prayer.

Imam: U.S. Constitution Compliant with Sharia Law
The assertion that the U.S. Constitution is compliant with Sharia Law is something that must be knocked down immediately. It is so far from the truth as to be an absolute lie, and yet there are some "tools of Islam" who will agree with Imam Rauf, who is working to build the Islamic mosque near Ground Zero. Rauf is another example that a Muslim may say anything, true or not, to advance the cause of Islam; so says their Qu'ran.

Fake Hate Crimes: An Islamist Weapon

Over the recent Fourth of July weekend, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) interviewed attendees of the 47th annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention about their experiences in dealing with "Islamophobia." Shortly afterwards, on July 6, CAIR called on the FBI to investigate an act of arson at a Georgia mosque, saying that hate crimes were increasing because of a "vocal minority in our society promoting anti-Muslim bigotry." The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) referred to it as one of the "incidents of Islamophobia [that] are on the rise in this country." However, police later arrested a Muslim suspect.
As Daniel Pipes has documented for years, Islamist organizations in the West are quick to label crimes as anti-Muslim hate crimes as part of their effort to make Muslims feel under attack and to paint themselves as Muslims' protectors. For example, immediately following the Fort Hood shooting, CAIR asked Muslims to respond by donating to it. "We need financial help to meet these crises and push back against those who seek to score political points off the Muslim community in the wake of the Fort Hood tragedy," the fundraising pitch read. To no one's surprise, an anti-Muslim backlash did not ensue.
Cutting through the propaganda requires understanding the ways in which crimes are misrepresented as hate crimes — and why. There are two main culprits to consider: Muslims who stage fake hate crimes and Islamist organizations that seek to exploit them.
Why would anyone fabricate a hate crime against himself or his mosque? History indicates a pair of common motives.
In some cases, the faker has an obvious political goal of demonstrating the supposed prejudice against Muslims. A classic example occurred in 2008, when a 19-year-old female Muslim student named Safia Z. Jilani at Elmhurst College in Illinois claimed that she had been pistol-whipped in a campus restroom by a male who then wrote "Kill the Muslims" on the mirror. The alleged attack occurred just hours after she spoke at a "demonstration called to denounce the anti-Islamic slurs and swastika she had discovered … in her locker." A week later, however, authorities determined that none of this had taken place and she was charged with filing a false police report.
Similar incidents recently unfolded overseas. A Muslim community leader in London named Noor Ramjanally reported that he had been kidnapped by members of the quasi-fascist British National Party; he also said that he had received death threats and his home had been firebombed. His claim received widespread attention, causing him to boast, "I have got the whole UK Muslim community behind me now." Ramjanally later was arrested for faking the crime. Furthermore, last year in Australia, a prominent imam, Taj Din al-Hilali, told police that his mosque had been vandalized. When confronted with the security tape, which shows that he is the one who kicked in the door, he insisted that it had been manipulated.
In other cases, individuals are driven to fabricate hate crimes not for political reasons, but to cover up more mundane criminal activity. Take the bizarre story of Musa and Essa Shteiwi, Ohio men who received media attention in 2006 after reporting several attacks on their store, the third being with a Molotov cocktail. A fourth "attack" then occurred, when an explosion was set off and badly burned the father and son, injuries from which they later died. CAIR highlighted it as a hate crime. However, investigators found that the two had set off the explosion themselves after they poured gasoline in preparation for another staged incident and one of them foolishly lit a cigarette. The pair had hired a former employee to carry out the previous attacks as part of an insurance fraud scheme.
Now let us turn to the motives of groups such as CAIR for exaggerating the prevalence of hate crimes against Muslims.
First and foremost, Islamists try to undermine and delegitimize their opponents by placing blame upon them for hate crimes. For example, a 2008 CAIR report attributes an alleged increase in hate crimes — "alleged" because the claimed increase is wholly contradicted by FBI statistics — to "Islamophobic rhetoric in the 2008 presidential election" and people who are "profiting by smearing Islam." Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is specifically rebuked for titling a campaign ad "Jihad."
CAIR's 2009 report takes aim at the anti-Islamist film Obsession, a bĂȘte noir among promoters of the hate crime narrative. To cite one example of this approach, on September 26, 2008, law enforcement was notified that a 10-year-old Muslim girl at the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton had been attacked with pepper spray. A member of the board immediately attributed it to advertisements for the documentary. However, the FBI found no trace of chemicals in the mosque or on the alleged victim; the pepper spray was discovered inside the mosque four days later. It concluded that there was no evidence that a hate crime had occurred.
Islamist groups also use the fear created by their publicizing of alleged hate crimes and anti-Muslim sentiment to try to mobilize the community into opposing counterterrorism programs. As Daniel Pipes has noted, CAIR started down this path a decade and a half ago, when it described the prosecution of World Trade Center bomb plotter Omar Abdel Rahman and the arrest of Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook as hate crimes.
Similar tactics remain in play. In February 2009, the American Muslim Task Force and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) condemned the FBI after a story broke about the use of an informant in a mosque. They accused the government of an anti-Muslim conspiracy, saying that the informant was paid to "instigate violent rhetoric in mosques," and threatened to end outreach efforts with the FBI. Then, in October 2009, a Michigan-based, pro-terrorist imam named Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who had been preparing his followers to wage war against the U.S. government, opened fire when the FBI tried to arrest him for criminal activity. Abdullah died in the shootout, but CAIR and the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) are attempting to attribute his demise to foul play.
These groups assume the worst of the FBI's intentions and try to make the Muslim community feel as if it is threatened by its own government committing state-sanctioned hate crimes. True to form, attendees of the ISNA convention this past July were told how the FBI supposedly is targeting Muslims and advised that they should not talk to FBI personnel without a lawyer.
In summary, while real anti-Muslim hate crimes deserve the harshest of condemnation, claims about anti-Muslim hate crimes always should be taken with a grain of salt. CAIR and other Islamist groups thrive off of convincing Muslims that they are under constant assault from roving bigots and an oppressive state. Individual Muslims then feel empowered to fabricate hate crimes in order to paint themselves as victims.
For Islamists, the fear, isolation, and suffering of the Muslim community are nothing more than weapons to enhance their own prestige and pursue their political agenda.
