Critical 2016 Presidential Election Needs a New Approach - An American National Party of the American People

A Critical Election Year in 2016 Needs a New Election Year Attitude,
New Election Year Approach,
an American National Party of the American People

We approach a time of history -- the election of 2016 -- an event which could make all the difference in the future of this nation.  America is beset by enemies growing in force and in courage to take us on, weaken us, undermine us.  Within our own nation we have a religious entity which decries freedom and American law, while living comfortably beneath the umbrella of freedom bought with the blood of American patriots.  Our national, state, and local governments are so beset with fraud, abuse and waste by greedy politicians that it is any wonder we might survive, in the end.
Those who espouse the mind of Christ, and other peaceful religions, are only just beginning to realize the future survival of this nation lies not in political factions, gerrymandered options, or even warfare, but in the solidarity of what formed this nation in the first place -- a thirst and hunger for religious freedom for which men and women were willing to die...are willing to die.
Now we must set aside our petty quarrels, our dreams of wealth, relaxation, enjoyment and yes, even peace.  For a national survival is at stake.  Now the mindset must change and focus on what is right, what is necessary, and what is possible.  Political expediencies, the "cost of doing business", turning a blind eye to what we know is wrong in order to gain a "right", must all go by the board now.  For now it is becoming very much like hunting tigers or bears.  You must be aware of every possibility at every moment, for in some ways they are smarter than you are. But unlike those who would be political tigers, we have the advantage of a God who is already in tomorrow, and the power of prayer can make all the difference. To hijack an old leadership phrase, we must "be the prayer!"
Samuel Adams once said, "If ever the time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our Country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
I submit we have reached that point in time.  This nation is replete with experienced patriots who have the ability for critical thinking, who know how to make decisions based on fact and outcome without undue pressure from other forces, who know how to lead a people and a nation.  But here is a historic fact, the last nation in this situation who turned to such a leader put Adolph Hitler in power.
America does not need a dictator, for our government system is the best of all known systems for an independent nation, for the defense and betterment of a free people.  America's second President, John Adams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, spoke a great truth when he said, 'We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion," adding, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
There are those American politicians who would scuttle the Constitution, amend, twist and remove the power of the Bill of Rights.  Why?  Because of "passions unbridled by morality and religion."  Such laudable materials in the fabric of freedom will not fit the twisted form of greed, debauchery, bullyism and dictatorship.  All the more reason they must be protected and preserved for the Americans of tomorrow, for sharing with those still struggling to find their own national freedoms, to squirm out from under the heel of slavery, starvation and oppression.  If there were no America, the world would have to invent one.
Which brings us back to the importance of the 2016 Presidential election.
The candidate chosen for that office by the people of America must be more than of this party or that.  Must be more than decisive and dictatorial, more than friendly and persuasive, more than a pretty face and a facility for the quick and witty answer.  He or she must be "presidential."  Must be the national representative of all the people, ready to be still while justice is done by others at the national, state and local levels; ready to be strong of voice and precise where America's security is concerned; determined to work a coalition of squabbling political officials to best serve the needs of all of America's people.  A person of Constitutional morality and religion prepared to preserve the freedoms guaranteed to all Americans, to engage in legislation that preserves and promotes the well-being not only of Americans but all of our shop-keeper and customer allies and neighbors, as well.  Ready to be fair.  Ready to be presidential.
President John F. Kennedy, Jr., said it very well on that snowy morning of January 20, 1961, when he announced to America and to the world, "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
"This much we pledge -- and more."
A great deal of work lies ahead of us, however.  Such moments in history do not simply happen.  All of us, even you and I, must decide for ourselves what is truly important to stand upon, and what to set aside for now.  We must link arms and say to those who would use our work, our money, and our vote, what we oppose as Americans shall not pass this way.  Not on our watch.
America began on a moral and religious basis.  We have forgotten that.  We have paid it lip service and served ourselves along the way.  Our children have not been taught what is important, but what is entertaining, what is publicly acceptable, what is expedient.  That kind of life, accepting what is wrong as just okay, going along to get along, that kind of life has no future.  We have placed ourselves in jeopardy before the eyes and powers of hungry and unscrupulous dictators in the world.
This must change.
Politicians will not change that.  We may as well call upon them to lower their salaries, do without their perks of office, take away their gym and cafeteria access, their limousines, their decorated offices and their bloated salaries and pensions.
No, it begins with you and I.  The Constitution, the Bill of Rights, our very vote gives us the power to effect change.  We the people can effect change, come to an agreement on what is best for America, refuse to support what is not, and effect change.  But it must be change that will bring America back to a nation that has a reason and a right to exist; a nation worth fighting and dying for, something our best-trained and equipped military young men and women have been doing for some time, with the promise that things would get better.  We wronged them and their families even as they made terrible sacrifices.  Things have not gotten better, for them or for others.
This must change.
Start now, with neighborhood groups, with town and city groups, with state and national groups of same-minded people focused on bringing the hallmarks of morality and religious freedom back to America.  In our homes, as individuals, in our businesses, as employees and owners, in our State House, in our House of Representatives, in our Senate, in the White House -- morality and a respect, nay, a guarantee of religious freedom for all.  Some will believe this gives violent religions an edge over others, but it will not.  For the God of peace does not require violence to serve Him.
Let us stop being a good Republican, a good Democrat, a good liberal, a good conservative.  Let's determine to be a good American and demand what is good for America; to begin with a grassroots American National Party with only one purpose: to put a "Presidential" candidate before the American people with the promise to take back our nation.  Political partisanship has nothing to do with it, color, creed, national origin, sexual preference, religious orientation, a man or woman who meets the criteria stated above as being "Presidential."  And with that leadership will come a cleaning of House and Senate to give the new President a supportive House and Senate working for the American people, not for the President, for political parties, or for outside interests.
We can do this.  Start now.  Telephone or email someone you know who feels like you do, that America must change.  We have just 23 months to organize a return to America.  We can do this.  Samuel Adams thought so.  John Adams thought so.  You and I think so.  Let's do it.

Questions and Answers
Q.  Won't a third political party simply split the electoral votes, producing a weak winner?
A.  It could.  If the American people want to continue with more of what they have had, want to continue funding the making of little kings and queens out of political careerists, then yes, that could split the votes so that America elects a President even worse than what we have now.  But that's why we need a new National Party.

Q.  Running for President is a financially daunting adventure these days.  Why would those backing the National Party candidates be any the less expecting of political favors than the ones who have been running?
A.  Because the National Party is not funding anyone's campaign.  The National Party relies upon the American people to fund the campaign of the candidate they prefer.

Q.  However, getting national media coverage and time is expensive.  How can a candidate pay for that by themselves, unless they are independently wealthy?
A.  The National Party advises its candidates not to rely on the mainstream media, but go to the American people to get their message across.  A Nov. 16, 2014 article in the Washington Times quoted a study showing that "Sixty percent of the 226,838 comments from September 2012 to early last month posted to the Obamacare Facebook site administered by Organizing for Action can be attributed to fewer than 100 unique profiles."  Political candidates today are quite capable of unpacking their message and getting it to the voting electorate, un-interpreted and unedited, without spending millions of dollars.

Q.  Who will "vet" the National Party candidates for qualifications, background, and suitable experience?
A.  The American people are quite capable of that.  If candidates don't meet the electorate's criteria, they can always vote for their career politician opponents.

COMMENT: Iran's Supreme Leader is Spitting into the Wind

Iran's "Supreme Leader" is spitting into the wind. What the Living God decrees will not be set aside by demi-gods, false gods, and evil men.

There are some specifics that should be noted about this article.  First, note the author and his relationship to Iran: “Reza Kahlili is a pseudonym for a former CIA operative in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, who also serves on the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and the advisory board of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran.

Second, the "Iron Dome" is not a "dome" to be pierced.  Iran knows well what it is.  And the threat to Israel and to U.S. warships is an empty one.  The U.S. military has not been sitting on its hands relying on old armament.  Thanks to our own news media, Iran knows well that what they are boasting of has not a chance against the U.S. Navy's newest armament.  But you don't have to know all there is to know to understand that tyrants of the Middle East have always made a habit of claiming more than they can accomplish.  In Texas terms, all hat and no cattle.  Other than that I would quote the word of the Living God: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God."  Psalm 20:7

Cato Institute: Welfare Now Better Than An Honest Day's Pay

Cato Institute: It’s now more profitable to sit at home than it is to earn an honest day’s pay.  (See sources at the bottom.)

Total insanity!

The Cato Institute released an updated 2013 study (original study in 1955) showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 states and the District of Columbia.  Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour in 13 states.

According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than the minimum wage.

It’s now more profitable to sit at home than it is to earn an honest day’s pay.

Hawaii is the biggest offender, where welfare recipients earn $29.13 per hour, or a $60,590 yearly salary, all for doing nothing.

Here is the list of the states where the pre-tax equivalent “salary” that welfare recipients receive is higher than having a job:
1. Hawaii: $60,590
2. District of Columbia: $50,820
3. Massachusetts: $50,540
4. Connecticut: $44,370
5. New York: $43,700
6. New Jersey: $43,450
7. Rhode Island: $43,330
8. Vermont: $42,350
9. New Hampshire: $39,750
10. Maryland: $38,160
11. California: $37,160
12. Oregon: $34,300
13. Wyoming: $32,620
14. Nevada: $29,820
15. Minnesota: $29,350
16. Delaware: $29,220
17. Washington: $28,840
18. North Dakota: $28,830
19. Pennsylvania: $28,670
20. New Mexico: $27,900
21. Montana: $26,930
22. South Dakota: $26,610
23. Kansas: $26,490
24. Michigan: $26,430
25. Alaska: $26,400
26. Ohio: $26,200
27. North Carolina: $25,760
28. West Virginia: $24,900
29. Alabama: $23,310
30. Indiana: $22,900
31. Missouri: $22,800
32. Oklahoma: $22,480
33. Louisiana: $22,250
34. South Carolina: $21,910

As a point of reference the average Middle Class annual income today is $50,000, down from $54,000 at the beginning of the Great Recession. Hawaii, DC, and Massachusetts pay more in welfare than the average working folks earn there. Is it any wonder that they stay home rather than look for a job?  Time for a drastic change. America is virtually bankrupt.

Are we Nuts, or what?  How do we un-do this type of stupidity on the part of Americans?

This is crazy:

Salary of retired US Presidents
$180,000 FOR LIFE

Salary of House/Senate....$174,000 FOR LIFE
This is stupid.

Salary of Speaker of the House ....$223,500
FOR LIFE!
This is really stupid.

Salary of Majority/Minority Leader $193,400
FOR LIFE!
Ditto last line.

Average Salary of a teacher. .. $40,065.
Average Salary of Soldier DEPLOYED IN AFGHANISTAN .. $38,000

Think about this:

Nancy Pelosi will retire as a Congress Person at $174,000 Dollars a year for LIFE. She has retired as SPEAKER at $223,500 a year.  PLUS she will receive an additional $193,400 a year as Minority Leader.

That's $803,700Dollars a year for LIFE including FREE medical, which is not available to us ... the taxpayers.

I think we have found where the budget cuts should be made!

If you agree ..... share it, Maybe it will wake somebody up!

"Russia threatens to abandon the dollar as its reserve currency"

Obama threatened Russia's financial standing, but with China already attempting to trade the Yen for the dollar, it could all blow up in the American President's face.
From the Daily Caller story: "The Kremlin’s chief economic adviser, Sergei Glazyev, suggested the plan, which would call for Russia to either entirely abandon the dollar or to use a system that wouldn’t require the U.S. dollar to conduct international transactions.  'If sanctions are applied against state structures, we will be forced to recognize the impossibility of repayment of the loans that the US banks gave to the Russian structures.'

But Why.....

"Seth Pickens, LA Pastor Who Penned '10 Reasons I Love LGBTQ Folk,' Addresses 'Spin' Over Zion Hill Baptist Church 'Tribunal'"

The Christian Post apparently wants to be an online newspaper that deals in news of the Christian church and family.  However, reputable news reporters usually adhere to the eight elements of news -- .
The story linked above becomes a news story because the subject of that story, Rev. Seth Pickens, is acting outside the norm.  But we don't know if the reporter is claiming the norm is to affirm homosexuals or hold them to scripture.  Pickens seems to affirm them, so it would seem that's the way the reporter leans, but that would make this a piece of advocacy journalism.  That kind of journalism tells you only what the reporter wants you to know, not necessarily the whole story.
In fact, there's an entire side of this story missing.  For example, the reporter quotes Rev. Pickens repeated talking about how he "feels", but no specific justification, no root cause of those feelings.  He speaks out against Christian orthodoxy, with no explanation of what he means by "orthodoxy."  He indicates "the church" disapproves of homosexuality without  explaining why the Christian church would do that.  From Genesis to Jude, scripture is replete with how God deals with sexual perversion.
In truth, Rev. Pickens walks a very fine line where homosexuality is concerned, and it would be good to know how he discerns that line in light of scripture.
The reporter touches on the disagreements between Pickens, his church Board, and the church membership.  Indications are that there are lessons to be shared from Christian behavioral and organizational management points of view, but they are lacking.  As is the depth of this story.  As published it tantalizes and titillates just enough to draw readership, in the same way as the National Enquirer and other market scandal sheets.
It's not enough for a follower of Jesus Christ to do the right thing, those who observe need to understand why.

The Way of the World, March 4, 2014

Blog Thoughts
Today, March 4th, CBS News ran a video of their reporter Seth Doan attending a press conference in China.  This is a not a new practice for the Chinese government, to allow Western reporters to attend.  But questions must be written out and submitted in advance, and the government will decide which questions will be asked.  The last time CBS was allowed to ask a question was 10 years ago, they said.  Seth Doan's submitted question, which the government selected to be asked, had to do with tensions between China and Japan over certain islands.  Doan's question asked if China's neighbors had reason to be concerned over China's recent military build-up.
The Chinese Congressional spokesperson replied, "We think it takes power to maintain and preserve peace."
As I listened, I thought, "Mr. President, I hope you are both listening and that you understand."  Because if the Chinese are right, and common sense would indicate they are, then when the world is on fire with threats of war and military confrontations, slashing America's troop strength should be the last thing done to "maintain and preserve peace."
Now, understand that when you see the Chinese government taking action, this is something they have thought about and considered for often five to ten years.  That action is taken, publicly, only because after long strategic consideration the events over that period of time have convinced them this is the correct strategy, the right decision, and now is the time.
Perhaps the United States government could benefit by backing off quick-draw decisions and think about things for a while.  Sometimes doing nothing at all proves to be the best action in the long run.

Thank God It Still Happens
Recently I had a conversation online with a fellow who seemed to be of the opinion that America's only interest in helping others around the world was for the purpose of empire-building.  Of course, it's a matter of history that unlike nations of old, whenever Americans participated in armed hostilities they have never claimed a portion of that land for America.  But I didn't raise that point because the discussion was really about America having ulterior motives in reaching out to help others, internally or externally.
That got me to thinking, and I suppose you could put ulterior motives to nearly everything anyone does, as a farmer, a plumber, businessman or politician.  But the Christian scriptures point out that it's by their works that we should know others, not by looking over their shoulder every minute to demand justification for each moment of work.
When one of the posters in that discussion ended a very thoughtful post with this sentence:  "We witness in large and small ways and in the end the world will be transformed," that really sent my thoughts into hyper drive.  He was speaking my language!

My own response immediately was "Amen, amen and amen. And to the end that belief and faith, like politics, is local, often the only way it will happen."  Then I began to think, if asked, what had I seen and heard that would speak to that opinion?
That thought put me in mind of some people I want to bear witness to in this arena. James has pointed out that if you "love" the naked and hungry and say nice things to them without feeding or clothing them, that isn't Christ's kind of love. For 17 years I worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, so that I was often in the midst of disasters, the results of flooding, tornadoes, all sorts. Other than the presence of Red Cross and FEMA, sometimes helpful sometimes not, the one presence we could count on were the trucks and buses of the Southern Baptist and the Church of Christ. While the Red Cross and FEMA were holding press conferences promising help that sometimes never quite measured up, these other good people rolled in unbound by regulations insofar as they were allowed access, distributing hot meals, water, blankets and shoulders to cry on. There was no proselytizing just human hands to help however they could. It took money and chunks of time out of volunteers' lives to do that, but thank God it still goes on.
Now, the Corps of Engineer people with whom I worked are "just folks", but because of their vocation, they are nearly all people of educational degrees, intelligent, creative, compassionate. But we were hidebound by regulations and FEMA interference. So we were always pleased in the days after, when the cameras and press conference leaders had all gone home, to see individual churches from across the nation arriving with work crews, the elderly, teenagers, middle aged, with hammers and nails and lumber. While the victims made do and waited on promises, the followers of Jesus Christ cleaned up unbelievable messes, in homes and in lives, and just helped wherever they could. Thank God it still happens. Nobody said are you a fundamentalist, a millennialist, old school, new school. They just worked together and prayed together.
During my life of growing up through the Free Methodist Church, the Baptist -- Southern and otherwise -- the United Methodists and the Disciples of Christ, those are the Christian works, in faith, that I know. That is what led Christians through our short history as a nation to build hospitals and schools and colleges, and just take care of people, whatever tag they're wearing. Thank God it still happens.

Today comes the headline: "BREAKING: Russia Warns Ukraine: Surrender By 5:00 AM Tomorrow, Or Face Military ‘Storm’," published in the Independent Journalism Review at http://www.ijreview.com/2014/03/118887-breaking-russia-tells-ukraine-surrender-500-tomorrow-face-military-storm/

Since the President skipped Monday's NSA security briefing, you sort of hope someone interrupted he and the friends he had over to the White House for drinks, letting him know his sword rattling may have dangerous consequences.  Pres. Putin, growing up in the KGB and leaving it to be Russia's President, has proved himself to be a man of action, while America's Community Organizer in Chief has proved himself to be a man of talk.  Pres. Obama's naked threats and warnings to Putin proved as hollow as Putin thought they were.

The whole Washington D.C. drill is all too reminiscent of the 1956 events where Russian troops crushed a Hungarian revolution, killing 250 Hungarians.  The United States had encouraged the Hungarians to stand up for freedom and break free of Russian rule, but when they did, America stood on the sidelines with their hands in their pockets.  It is for this kind of hypocrisy that the United States is becoming known.  Also in the news today was this headline: "Cynical Syrians Advise Ukrainians: Don’t Get Up Your Hopes That the U.S. Will Help", found at http://www.ijreview.com/2014/03/118951-cynical-syrians-advise-ukrainians-dont-get-hopes-u-s-will-help/.

American went to war on behalf of the people of South Vietnam, the pulled out and left them to a blood bath on the part of the North Vietnamese Army.

America went to war on behalf of the Iraqi people, then pulled out and left them to the mercy of al Qaeda.

America went to war on behalf of the Afghanistan people, then pulled out and left them to the mercy of al Qaeda.

Now America encourages the people of Syria and the Ukraine to stand up to their attackers, while America engages in the same old mistakes, again.  When Washington, D.C., chose to use federal funding to influence events, they ended up funding the Muslim forces who were killing and raping Syrian Christians and destroying their homes and churches.

Under no circumstances am I suggesting America needs to put boots on the ground in these two situations.  But it would be good if America stopped taking sides and put as many diplomats and diplomatic actions in place as we would boots on the ground or money into armament.

Are there any adults in charge in Washington, D.C.?  The employment of a little critical thinking would go a long way to getting returned to our nation some of its character and integrity in the world.

Renew, Rebuild, Restore

by Ed Evans

[A political sermon; no collection, but with lots of prayer.]

That great conservative American, troop-loving musician extraordinaire, Charlie Daniels, is also an outspoken patriot and essayist; a voice for this troubled age.  In his "Charlie Daniels Soapbox and Messageboard" at http://charliedanielssoapbox.com/view_topic.php?id=10302&forum_id=4, Charlie has zeroed in on a specific public malady the American news media cowardly refuses to address.

Reminding us that the conflicts of defined battlefields disappeared with World War II, Charlie goes on to write, "The war we find ourselves engaged in these days is not, for the most part, territorial but ideological religious fanaticism fueled by centuries of violent indoctrination and tribal loyalties that have existed since biblical times.

"There is so much about our enemy we don't understand, but one all-important fact we must understand.

"There will be no truce or armistice in this fight, there will be no cessation of hostilities no matter what kind of pie in the sky treaties and agreements desperate Western diplomats are able to get the enemy to sign.

"The Obama-Kerry initiatives, while noble in outward appearances, will not deter Iran's efforts to develop a nuclear device, but enable them to do so as sanctions are lifted and Iran gets it's fiscal house in order it will be business as usual, deadly business.

"Is there anybody gullible enough to believe otherwise?

"Our President and Secretary of State seem to think so."

And right there I believe Charlie Daniels has put his finger right on the very sorest part of the American wound, a painful, seeping, growing wound that will not heal quickly.

I also believe that Charlie Daniels is stopping short of the real conclusion accidentally, or perhaps because he makes his living entertaining people, he stops short because he doesn't want to alienate hi entire listening audience.

But for whatever reason, I say he has stopped short.  Charlie states that the President and Secretary of State apparently are gullible enough to believe that material, financial handouts to our enemies in Iran will stop their nuclear device development, which they believe will give them Muslim domination of the world.  In fact, material and financial handouts have not worked to better the status of poor Americans or America's economy, so why would they believe it would work on people foreign to the American ideals and ethics?

No, I say it is impossible to believe that Obama and Kerry, having organized their financial and political careers to such advantage, having reached the pinnacles of power they have, with deep and wide-ranging information sources available to them, could be so gullible.

That leaves only deliberate planning for the one-world government, the financial upheaval, and the curtailment and control of individual freedoms to come.  Logically, based not upon what is said but what is done, guided down a chute of careful preparation, what obviously lies ahead of America is deliberate and planned.

The moneyed, powerful leaders of the world's financial and political hierarchies believe that they "know best" for the rest of the great unwashed in the world.  The fences of containment set up by our American forefathers of Christian-based ethics and humane justice for all are slowly but most surely being eroded and set aside by a carefully packed judiciary.  Profane ethical and social mores that only a few years ago would have been summarily dismissed as a danger to the future citizens of society now seem to fit responsibly on a shelf of citizenship fashioned by liberal educators who have been teaching the current generation, and are still teaching the next, that truth is subjective, absolutes don't really exist, and anything goes.  It can be seen in our fashions, our communication,  in the business world, and rotting away the framework of society.

Such quotes as that by Conrad Hilton, CEO of Hilton Hotels, "If his wife can't trust him in the bedroom, how can I trust him in the boardroom," no longer have any impact in the business world or in society.  Anything goes.  Profit is everything.  Winning is all that is important.  But what if someone gets hurt?  If you can't afford to lose then you shouldn't be in the game.

And life has become a game.  There are now only winners and losers.  The human family that God began no longer matters, because God no longer matters.  Tomorrow?  Only today matters.  Right now.  Tomorrow will take care of itself.  After all, even God said, " Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."  And that's what you run into, the idea that God doesn't matter, unless you can use Him to make a point for yourself.

There are still those innocent souls who continue to believe that if they can just set the right environment for understanding, just bring together the right words, provide just the right platform for agreement, they can change the mind of the moneyed and politically powerful.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  For "the truth" is only their truth, and it is not up for discussion.  Their minds are made up, and you and I were never part of the decision.

I submit that those who have embarked on a "new" and "one-world" direction cannot be moved.  Their hopes, dream, indeed, their treasures are "just ahead" and can only be brought to fruition by the guidance of their hands.  Keep your hands off the steering wheel.  Once again, this is not a discussion.  The decision has been made, the direction chosen, and you and I are not "bought in."

I return to my original point.  What we are seeing, what we are experiencing, is deliberate.

That being the case, the only solution can be one of deliberation, as well.  The leadership now in place, leading America astray, must be replaced.  America being the nation it is, with a military dedicated to not participating in governmental coups, thus far resting on the surviving U.S. Constitution, that change must come about by election.  The time is approaching.  Perhaps for the last time.

In one sense, the time is ripe, conservative state Governors have a leading edge in the coming election, many liberal Democrats are giving up their seats this year, and this will be a fruitful opportunity to elect conservative Representatives and Senators.  But the infighting, the litmus tests that have shattered the conservative movement must cease.  There must be a widespread commitment to putting conservatives in office, across the board, and deal with individual sacred cows once those forces are in office.
It must be a two-pronged attack, in traditional military language, with equal commitment to the forces to remove current leadership -- flawed, misguided, and wrong -- and commitment to the conservative cause.

It will not be easy.  Liberal incumbents will attempt to move heaven and earth, to cause dissension among conservatives, to destroy commitment, for they know that if they can just get past this coming election, they will rule.  That cannot be allowed to happen.  This is most very likely the conservatives' last chance on a level playing field.

This is it.  Last chance to renew, rebuild, restore.
